This powerful and secure online map interface is used by companies to access and distribute prospect maps throughout their entire enterprise giving decision makers the most up to date information to make better informed decisions. This shared, internal map facilitates enhanced collaboration between the in-house and field landmen giving even the largest companies the nimbleness needed to compete effectively in today’s fast-paced market. The deployment of this map is controlled in-house and is based on a tiered user administration hierarchy.
OGI PowerMap, nicknamed “OGP” in-house, was developed as the map deployment software platform for OGInfo.com’s FREE online map, OGInfoMap. The logical step that followed, due to demand from certain clients, led us to customize an area and distribute it online so managers working in different geographical areas could all be on the same page, or map in this case, at the same time. Data security is first and foremost as OGI has built in, tiered user administration and monitoring. Our clients have the ability to turn on, turn off, and/or monitor access from their own desktops. IP login assists in keeping the data confidential. Clients can have multiple prospects loaded with settings that allow access to all in-house landmen, but the same time limit access to one prospect for a particular brokerage firm or individual landman.
OGI PowerMap has evolved into a highly flexible, multi-layered, variable altitude zoom, vector-based GIS mapping tool. The user has the ability to move around a state and visually examine areas for a particular industry interest and turn on and off a variety GIS specific layers. Also available is an enhanced type-in or click it search/info tool which will provide valuable information like API, Operator, Well Name/Lease, Well Number, depth, Permit Date, Spud date, Completion date, Status date, Well status (i.e. Producing, Dry Hole, etc.), Plug date, Well Cumulative (i.e. Oil / BBL, Gas MCF), Lat/long and more. All of this with a click or a drag of the mouse.
OGI PowerMap has the power to map large areas with a vast number of tracts with relative ease. In addition, all of the tracts (polygons) created by OGI PowerMap can be easily emailed or uploaded to clients to load on their complex in-house systems.
Users can easily manage multiple layers including survey/abstract, parcel, wells, pipelines, roads, waterways, leases, flood plains, topographic lines, wildlife refuges, competition layers, UD’s (HBP acreage), aerials, AMI’s and geologic data. OGI PowerMap allows users to email screen shots or entire polygon layers to associates and/or clients thus simplifying and speeding up the entire communication process. Such power in GIS information organization and access sets a new precedent in the GIS mapping and information field.
OGI PowerMap has far-reaching commercial and industrial applications. For the oil & gas industry, both surface and subsurface, it is an essential tool for successful modern prospecting. For real estate sales and development it can add the ease, speed and accuracy, which are critical for such big projects or planning. Other industries taking advantage of the capabilities of OGI PowerMap are Insurance, pipeline, electrical & power, civil engineering, transportation and railroad. All with their own respective needs, OGI PowerMap has developed into a robust mapping information package that can satisfy a diverse set of demands applicable to these various industries. Also utilizing the depth and capacity of our software are professionals in the fields of forestry, environmental modeling, cellular tower site development, commercial and industrial land development, city and county tax assessors and property insurers. The number of companies and the widening diversity of applications of this software make OGI PowerMap an invaluable technology to the professional landman, land developer and planner and insurance estimator.
